DESCRIPTION: LPW - Elgin, 15J, 8S, heavy 18K gold original HC with scalloped band and spectacular engraving detail, lower rear with flying bird, lower front with initials, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#1077571. Gross weight of assembled watch 53.2 dwt (82.8 g). A spectacular gold hunting case, with engraving detail in superb crisp condition.
CONDITION: Mvt: Running, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall, toning of plate surfaces; dial with scattered blue colored hls, small chip to left side of seconds-register hole; excellent hands; case shows hardly any wear, no dents or dings, superb crisp engraving detail, front opens a bit wide of 90 degrees (to approximately 100 degrees) and lift spring is not contacting lid to fully opened position allowing lid to tilt back a bit with gravity toward closed, front lid leaving small gap to band along left side when closed, case rear opens somewhat short of 90 degrees (to approximately 80 degrees); bow pivots freely, crown shows very little wear; good glass crystal.
